Setting up KADO Digital Business Cards as a company (multi-user accounts)

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on setting up a multi-user account for KADO Digital Business Cards. It covers designing the company card, adding links, and adding additional employees either manually or through bulk upload. Overall, it is a comprehensive resource for anyone looking to set up KADO Digital Business Cards for their company.

1. Sign up and account creation

  • Navigate to https://app.kadonetworks.com/sign-up/business-developer (this will allow you to start with a free account and then upgrade once you start adding users or one of the paying features).
  • You may sign up via SSO or email + one-time-passcode (OTP)
    • SSO with Outlook or GMail: for SSO with your company, your IT team may require to whitelist KADO.
    • OTP: click on”Get my one-time-passcode“. You will receive an email in your inbox with the passcode that has been generated.
  • Please note, once you sign into KADO, your session will be active for 6 months for that particular device and browser.
  • Fill in your basic information, including email, name and company name, and click “Submit”.

2. Company set up (basic info, offices, teams)

1. Basic company info

Head to “Manage Company” on the left-hand-side menu.

  • Add your legal and commercial name (commercial name will be the one displayed on the card)
  • Add your website (remember to add https://)
  • Upload a company logo (squared)
  • include a brief description

All this information will appear under the About us section in the card

2. Offices

  • If you have one or different offices, head to the “Offices” tab.
  • You may add several offices to which you can later assign yourself or other employees (don’t forget to assign yourself to an office afterwards!)
  • The office name will not appear in the card, but will be used as an internal reference.

3. Teams [OPTIONAL]

What are Teams for? By default, in KADO, the users under the account will have private agendas. However, if you want certain users to share contacts and notes for collaboration, you may assign them to the same team.

Head to the “Teams” tab and add as many Teams as you desire

Tip! Only add teams if you want employees to share contacts and notes between them

3. Company card design

1. Colors and design

Note: all changes and edits applied under this section will be replicated across the board and all your users.

Design / Theme: change the color of the background, icons, main text (user name and company name) and secondary text (rest of card). You may add the Hex colors or choose other colors by clicking on the palette icon
Cover picture: upload a cover for the card. Image should be 600x200px in size

2. Personalized buttons and Video

Note: all changes and edits applied under this section will be replicated across the board and all your users.

Go to “Card Features Tab

Buttons:

  • You may add buttons and links to specific websites (client testimonials, Contact us forms, important announcements)
  • Click on “Add Content
  • Click on “Call-to-action button
  • Add the display text and URL

Videos:

Currently only Youtube and Vimeo videos are available

  • Click on “Add Content
  • Click on “Embedded video
  • Paste the Youtube or Vimeo URL

NOTE: if you have created Teams, you may choose what teams you want to assign the buttons and videos to

Go to “Social Links tab

  • Click “Add Social
  • Select your desired social network
  • Enter the URL for the company’s social profile
  • Click “Publish

4. Adding employees

Alert! When adding employees, ensure they know in advance you will be using KADO as a digital business card provider, so that they watch out for the welcome email!

1. Adding them manually

  • Click on “Manage Users
  • Click on the “Add new user” button at the top right of the page
  • Fill in their basic information:
    • Full name
    • Position
    • Accreditations (MBA, Phd…)
    • Email
    • Phone number
  • Assign them to an Office
  • Assign them to a Team
  • Select their permissions (normal user, vs company admin or account admin)
    • Company admins may manage users and company card design
    • Account admins may manage integrations and billing
  • Click on Send and save email: your employee will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to get set up, a link to the web and to download the app.

2. Adding them in bulk

Alternatively, you may add employees through bulk upload:

  • Click on “Manage Users
  • Click on the “Upload Bulk users” button at the top right of the page
  • Download our template
  • Fill in the excel with all required info
    • The excel will have preloaded any offices and teams you have already created (!)
  • Upload it to KADO – upon upload, your employees will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to get set up, a link to the web and to download the app

5. Editing your personal card

1. Basic card info

Now that your company is fully set up and you have added employees, don´t forget to complete your own profile!

  • Click “My Profile
  • Upload your picture
  • Complete any additional profile information under Card Info
    • Pronouns / Accreditations
    • Add yourself to an office
    • Add your phone number(s)
    • Click “Save Changes”

2. Personal Buttons, Videos and Socials

You may add personalized buttons and video content to your own card (which only appear on your own card). For example, you may want to add a personal marketing video, or a link to your meeting scheduler (calendly or similar).

Buttons and video

  • Click on “Card Features” tab
  • Click “Add Content”
  • For buttons:
    • Click “Call to Action button”
    • Fill in the display text and paste the URL of the button
    • Click “Publish”
  • For video (Vimeo and YouTube only):
    • Click “Add Content”
    • Click “Embedded Video”
    • Paste the Vimeo or Youtube URL
    • Click “Publish”

Social links

You may add links to your active social networks, such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter /X and others

  • Click on the “Social Links” Tab
  • Click “Add Social”
  • Select the social network
  • Paste the URL to your profile
  • Click “Publish”

3. Download the app

Don’t forget to download the app for your personal use and on-the-go networking!

6. Sharing your card and capturing leads

7. integrations

You may integrate KADO with your Outlook / GMail account, as well as with different CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics or other via Zapier). These integrations will allow you to send your contacts and notes directly to your CRM to avoid transcribing or housekeeping!
